We Believe that a family can carve out a humble livelihood farming at a scale that best serves the livestock, the farmer and the land we depend on.

We are compelled by a firm commitment to Sustainable Agriculture, the local economy and the search for a right livelihood. Working the farm with one another and our children, selling high quality product to our community and creating a healthy life around the natural rhythms of the life cycle is what brings us joyfully to the day and keeps us out until the task at hand is done!

Located in the heart of the village of Warwick, MA on the Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts border, we are raising beef cows, sheep, pigs, turkeys, geese, chickens and ducks on our pasture-based farm. Our animals are key to improving our soil fertility and the overall productivity of the farm.

We are farming this land due to the generosity and vision of Patricia Johnson (whose mother, Hettie Belle, is our namesake), and several other neighbors who have opened up their fields to our livestock and family.
